About The Position

As a full-time Checkpoint Entry Driver in Houston, Texas, the Security Officer serves and safeguards clients by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing professional customer service. The role maintains a visible presence, communicates clearly, and helps deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.

The posted schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.28 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for this driving position.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor entry and exit according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
