About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Observation in Charleston, South Carolina, to provide dependable coverage at an assigned financial institution. The position has fixed weekly anchor shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The employee may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week and adjusting hours as availability allows. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The role provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures, monitoring activity, conducting unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, and completing required documentation. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, lobby, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.
