About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in an entry-authorization role at a hotel and resort location in St. Augustine, Florida, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication to guests, visitors, and team members while maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role offers a schedule through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, at $16.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to hotel and resort guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned hotel and resort areas, including entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Communicate professionally with hotel and resort personnel, guests, and emergency responders, and report security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
