About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset. Duties may vary based on site needs, and the position requires reliability and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment. The officer patrols assigned areas or maintains a fixed post, monitors security systems and activity, responds to incidents, documents events, and follows post orders and safety procedures. The officer also assists customers and visitors and maintains a visible, approachable presence on-site. This is a full-time position in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, with a schedule of 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pay of $16.50 per hour.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Willingness to submit to a background investigation and drug screen; employment offer is contingent on successful completion of the background investigation.
Minimum 3–6 months of prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
Driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

Prior security or customer-facing experience.
Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity.
Control access points and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents.
Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems.
Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.
Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times.
Follow post orders, company policies, and safety procedures.
Maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols.
Inspect property for safety risks, including fire hazards and equipment issues.
Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvements.
Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally; provide directions and other support as needed.
Maintain a visible, approachable on-site presence.
Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to work, and stay engaged and proactive throughout the shift.
Follow all safety, training, and compliance requirements.
