About The Position
The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, conducting inspections, documenting daily activity and incidents, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating with supervisors. The position calls for an alert, reliable, customer-focused person who can remain calm, communicate professionally, and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience
- State Guard license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Vigilance, discipline, and observational skills
- Clear and professional communication
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations
- Reliability and customer-service orientation
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
Responsibilities
