About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for unarmed patrol response in Washington, DC. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The role is intended for candidates seeking flexible part-time work, dependable scheduled hours, and opportunities to gain experience or pursue full-time employment. Pay is $21.00 per hour. The listed shift is Tuesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest floors, entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and the property perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations according to established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to hotel personnel or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate logs, patrol records, and incident reports, and communicate professionally with hotel management, staff, guests, and responding public services personnel.
