About The Position

As a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Columbia, South Carolina, you will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility. The driving role involves routine unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, assisting with access control and visitor direction, responding to emergencies and security-related needs, and reporting observations. The position requires a valid driver’s license and at least one year of security-related experience.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations professionally and according to established procedures.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and facility rules.
Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel or Allied Universal leadership.
