About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard a healthcare facility in Westwood, New Jersey. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff professionally. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Must be fully vaccinated with flu and COVID vaccines.
Must be comfortable with morgue-related duties and working in areas where deceased individuals are present at the hospital.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and restricted areas; provide directions and support access procedures for patients, visitors, and staff.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
