About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting in Memphis, Tennessee, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role requires providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security concerns. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:45 PM to 8:15 AM. Pay is $17.42 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital grounds, parking areas, entrances, corridors, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or hazards.
Respond calmly to incidents, medical facility alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; notify hospital personnel or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying visitor access requirements, and reporting unauthorized individuals or suspicious activity.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken according to site reporting requirements.
