About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Access Point Monitoring to safeguard clients across a range of industries. The role provides hands-on experience across varied sites and may offer a pathway to advancement. Work is 30–40 hours per week, with a schedule that varies based on manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice. Candidates must be prepared to work holidays, nights, and weekends, travel to branch assignment locations, and respond to last-minute scheduling needs. The position is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and pays $18.53 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to help protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removals comply with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
