About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Corporate Facility Patrol for a designated site and fixed weekly shift. The position provides consistent base hours, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The fixed-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. The role is part-time, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as availability permits. Pay is $18.85 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols of commercial property, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and documents observations and activities. Applicants must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License, have at least six months of security-related experience, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas, including building perimeters, lobbies, parking facilities, common areas, and access points, and identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and onsite personnel.
