About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for screening operations in Concord, North Carolina. The role serves a technology, media, and telecommunications location, helping maintain a welcoming and secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. The officer provides a visible, customer-focused presence to deter security-related incidents and support daily operations. The position pays $15.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and access-screening protocols.
Screen people and permitted belongings entering designated areas using established procedures and screening equipment; escalate prohibited or suspicious items according to site policy.
Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization before allowing entry to controlled areas, and maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
Respond calmly to screening alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and follow emergency response procedures when applicable.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
