About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Screening Operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The role supports a technology, media, and telecommunications location by screening visitors and personnel, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. The officer helps maintain a welcoming and orderly environment through a visible security presence, strong communication, and customer service. The stated pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and personal property in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, business spaces, and perimeter areas, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
