About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a government location in Austin, Texas. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, supporting access control, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public. The role uses technology to document activities and report concerns, and requires professional communication and adherence to site-specific policies and established procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain activity logs in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
