About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Plainfield, Indiana. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and provide customer service and professional communication. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, data or equipment spaces, loading areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership about security observations, policy concerns, and daily activity.
