About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in McLean, Virginia, supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $26.92 per hour.

Requirements

Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Assist with emergency preparedness and response, communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
