About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Incident Response in Pharr, Texas. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shifts require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed.

The role pays $14.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The position involves armed patrols and responding to incidents at a retail location.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and associates by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter theft, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and other unauthorized activity.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site procedures.
