Security Officer Full Time Patrol

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer in Columbus, Ohio, you will safeguard clients at government and commercial real estate locations. You will monitor and patrol assigned locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and communication. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Saturday through Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.67 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, transit patrons, and/or staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property, transit-adjacent areas, building interiors, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and observe visitor and contractor activity.
Maintain required logs, reports, and incident documentation.
Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence at government and commercial real estate locations.
