About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a luxury clothing shop in Manhasset, NY. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, creating opportunities to increase hours and potentially work up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The scheduled shift is Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.07 per hour.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting security-related observations and events.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
