About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve as an unarmed patrol officer at a luxury retail shop in Garden City, New York. The officer will help safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment for guests and team members through visible patrols, customer service, and accurate communication and documentation. The scheduled shifts are Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Loss prevention experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location, including the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Monitor access points and support orderly movement of customers, associates, vendors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
