About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a corporate financial institution in New York, NY. The position has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed.

The scheduled shift is Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.52 per hour. The role provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and direct employees, customers, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Accurately and promptly complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
