About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed driver patrol Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Bessemer, Alabama. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.46 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants must undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment under applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed, and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
