About The Position

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is hiring part-time armed Security Officers in the Phoenix, Arizona area. The role helps maintain safe and secure client environments by safeguarding and patrolling premises, enforcing site regulations and directives, and providing customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers. Officers may serve sites in industries including convenience stores, travel centers, warehouses, and truck yards. Work environments and conditions vary by client site. Applicants must have prior armed security experience, an Arizona armed security license, a personal semi-automatic firearm with two magazines in 9mm, .40 caliber, or .45 caliber, customer service experience, the ability to use phone apps and write reports, and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Applicants must be at least 21 for armed roles and have a clean, valid driver’s license. The part-time schedule is to be determined. Employment is contingent on applicable certification, drug and background screening, E-Verification approval, onboarding, and approval and interview with the assigned site manager.

Requirements

Prior armed security experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Arizona Armed Security License required.
Must have a personal semi-automatic firearm to carry on the jobsite, with two magazines, in 9mm, .40 caliber, or .45 caliber.
Customer service experience; one year is preferred.
Ability to navigate phone apps and write reports.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Clean, valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience; experience requirement applies to armed roles.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, obtain required state security certification, receive E-Verification approval, complete onboarding, and receive approval and an interview with the assigned site manager.

Responsibilities

Safeguard client premises and help maintain a safe and secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter, including a variety of locations.
Preserve order by enforcing client-site regulations and directives concerning personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers.
Carry out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
Remain vigilant by seeing, hearing, and evaluating potential risks or incidents.
