About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol for an assigned financial institution site in Passaic, New Jersey. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts can allow the schedule to grow to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site security procedures, monitors access, conducts unarmed patrols, responds to incidents, and reports suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the financial institution and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, and maintenance concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
