About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Commerce City, Colorado, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents while contributing to Allied Universal’s culture through teamwork and integrity. The role includes customer service, security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and follow procedures for vehicle, trailer, and package access.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and access-control activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
