About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in Front Royal, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail distribution location. You will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, document access-related activity using technology, communicate with team members and visitors, and help maintain an orderly environment. The role is full-time and pays $19.22 per hour. The posted schedule is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures and policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor and contractor logs according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and effectively to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Accurately document incidents, irregularities, and access control activities, and complete required reports according to site-specific policies.
