About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for unarmed patrol and credential issuance at an assigned technology infrastructure location in Ashburn, Virginia. The position offers a designated weekly schedule and requires a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shifts. The officer may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The pay rate is $23.36 per hour.

The officer provides customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site policies. Duties include patrols, monitoring access and security systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining shift documentation. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center areas, access points, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and assigned alarm or camera systems, and report security concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
