As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. Using communication and computer skills, you will help maintain an orderly environment while remaining visible to help deter incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a technology, media, and telecommunications-related construction location; verify authorization and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
  • Control access for personnel, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry and protect restricted work areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and active construction areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
