About The Position

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in China, Michigan, you will safeguard clients at a utilities location. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors, respond professionally to concerns, document observations, and provide customer service. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pay rate is $16.91 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate at a utility services location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify unusual activity and report observations according to site procedures.
Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while remaining aware of changing site conditions.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and others at the site.
