About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a hospital in Medina, Ohio. The role serves and safeguards patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and the healthcare facility by maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, supporting access and visitor management, and responding to incidents and emergencies. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal policy. The schedule is Monday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Applicants must meet hospital vaccine requirements, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
