About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Bike Patrol in Tempe, Arizona, you will serve and safeguard clients as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned corporate property areas by bike, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role includes responding to security-related concerns, supporting access control, communicating professionally with visitors and employees, and documenting activities using computer or tablet tools. The position is full-time and is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
Ability to ride a bike.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random bike patrols around the business location and perimeter; report unusual activity and potential concerns according to site procedures.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and employee activity to help support site access policies.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
