About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Bike Patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients on a university campus in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol campus areas, including by bicycle, to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role requires a highly visible presence to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The listed pay rate is $17.75 per hour. The schedule is 5:00 PM–1:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, follow campus protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures according to site-specific requirements.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and interactions with campus personnel and visitors.
