About The Position

Cobalt Security Services is hiring a Security Officer in Oxnard, California. This full-time graveyard position is scheduled Friday through Monday, 10 PM to 6 AM, and pays $18.50 per hour. A $300 new-hire bonus may be issued after three months of employment (or on the twelfth paycheck) if the employee has no call-offs that violate company guidelines and no no-call/no-shows. Flexible part-time and full-time schedules are also available.

The role provides security and protection to the community by enforcing rules, responding to service calls, deterring suspicious activity, and performing routine property audits. Officers prepare daily reports, enforce parking rules, and interact with community members, management, and law enforcement. Cobalt describes its guards as professionals held to a high standard and offers additional training beyond state requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a current BSIS Guard Card.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Be reliable, dependable, and punctual.
• Use ethical decision-making.
• Have effective oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Applicants may be subject to a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants may be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A clean driving record for the past three or more years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and informative daily reports.
• Enforce parking rules, including issuing citations and conducting tows.
• Interact with members of the community, management, and law enforcement.
