About The Position

The Security Officer ensures the safety and security of casino guests and employees. The role may be assigned to a roving or fixed post and requires vigilance for unusual or suspicious activity, including people who may appear to be under 21 entering the casino. The officer assists law enforcement, emergency personnel, and casino staff as needed, maintains a professional appearance and conduct, and follows applicable state and casino security requirements, policies, and procedures. Duties also include transporting boxes from gaming tables to the Count Room and securing the Cashier’s Cage, gaming tables, and chips during emergencies. Other work-related duties may be assigned by the Director of Security. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to lift 50 pounds, have at least one year of security experience, and hold a valid California Guard Card.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and security of casino guests and employees.
Acknowledge and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Maintain order at an assigned roving or fixed post.
Remain alert to unusual or suspicious activity and to people who may appear to be under 21 entering the casino.
Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and posture.
Follow all state and casino Security Officer requirements, policies, and procedures.
Pull and/or empty boxes from gaming tables and transport them to the Count Room.
Secure the Cashier’s Cage, gaming tables, and chips as needed in an emergency.
Assist casino staff with situations requiring security in the casino or on casino property.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Director of Security.
