Responsibilities

Secure facilities and property through observation and inspections.
Monitor surveillance equipment and access control points; permit or deny entry to premises.
Sound facility alarms to alert others when assistance is needed.
Prevent losses and damage, report irregularities, inform violators of policies and procedures, and restrain trespassers.
Control traffic by directing drivers.
Write reports, maintain an activity log, and record observations, information, and surveillance activity; interview witnesses.
Conduct oneself professionally, be courteous and uplifting, and engage neutrally and understandingly with people from diverse backgrounds.
Comply with all legal requirements.
Contribute to team synergy through communication, deconfliction, sharing ideas, and complementing others’ efforts.
De-escalate volatile situations and protect vulnerable people from physical and non-physical threats.
