About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Northport, Alabama, for an assigned healthcare site. The position offers a fixed weekly shift as an anchor schedule, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed.

The listed schedule is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, conducting patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting security-related observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations; follow site procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and access control, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.
