About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting in West Covina, California, you will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and clients while maintaining a welcoming environment. You will conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, provide customer service, and respond professionally to security concerns and emergencies. The role requires teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and clear communication.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, medical situations, and other critical events, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of educational facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence.
