About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Columbus, Mississippi. This driving post involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment through customer service and communication. A valid driver’s license is required. The position pays $14.50 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience.
CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization under site procedures, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Observe and report potential hazards, damaged property, policy violations, and suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
