About The Position

This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility. Duties may be performed at walking or stationary posts, depending on location. The role requires inspecting and controlling people and vehicles entering or leaving the facility. The officer checks identification for visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members; inspects carry-in items; writes investigative reports; and conducts preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed. The officer also patrols plant areas to check facility security, logs truck traffic entering and leaving, and inspects motor vehicles driven into the plant. The position is based at the Waterloo, Iowa pork plant and works the C shift, from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check. The work may involve both hot and cold temperatures, depending on the outside climate. Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively under stressful situations.
Must be able and willing to work in hot and cold temperatures, depending on the outside climate.
Ability to work independently under supervision and maintain a positive work ethic.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Investigative skills are helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
