About The Position

This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, with assignments to walking or stationary posts depending on location. The role requires inspecting and controlling persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility. The officer checks identification and carry-in items, writes investigative reports, conducts preliminary investigations of incidents, patrols plant areas, logs truck traffic, and inspects motor vehicles entering the plant. The position is for the C Shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with Friday and Saturday off. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check. A resume is required. The position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively under stressful situations.
Must be able and willing to work in hot and cold temperatures, depending on the outside climate.
Ability to work independently under supervision and maintain a positive work ethic.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Investigative skills are helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Check identification for visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members and admit only authorized personnel.
Check carry-in items, including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, and lunchboxes.
Write investigative reports.
Conduct preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed.
Rove or walk through plant areas to check physical facility security.
Log truck traffic entering and leaving the facility and inspect motor vehicles driven into the plant.
