About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a dynamic aerospace and defense location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role safeguards clients and supports a welcoming environment through customer service, communication, routine patrols, access monitoring, and incident response. The officer will use computer or tablet systems and badge access tools to support daily operations. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $20.98 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment if required.

Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
