About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer and X-ray Object Recognition screener in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by screening people and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service while helping identify prohibited items and maintain orderly operations. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery partners while following site procedures, access-control screening requirements, and applicable emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles according to established logistics facility procedures.
Verify identification, access credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized entry requirements before permitting access to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, loading areas, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
