About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in La Porte, Texas, to serve and safeguard clients at a chemical and petrochemical location. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to site needs with integrity and care. The role requires reliable service through teamwork in an agile, innovative environment. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Monitor assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Support access control and communicate professionally with employees and visitors.
