About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Support in Canton, Mississippi, at a technology-focused location. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The stated pay rate is $17.20 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating them according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, perimeter, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about observations, incidents, and changing conditions.
