About The Position
Securitas is hiring three full-time Security Officers for a site in Sidney, New York. Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and patrolling the premises, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives. The role includes customer service and providing information to client employees and customers. Duties include report writing, emergency response, and interior and exterior foot patrols. Candidates must have flexible availability for evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Officers will have a permanent schedule but may be asked to cover shifts outside that schedule. Candidates need reliable transportation because public transportation does not operate during the required site hours. Orientation and/or New York State licensing training takes place at the Johnson City, New York office. Applicants whose prior security guard license has expired are asked to reactivate it before applying, as processing may be significantly delayed. No prior experience is necessary. Securitas offers training for those entering the security industry. Retail, food service, or hospitality experience is considered relevant background. The posting advertises a sign-on bonus of $50 after 30 days of employment and an additional $104.50 after 90 days.
