About The Position

Securitas is hiring three full-time Security Officers for a location in Sidney, New York. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and patrolling the premises, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives. Officers also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. Duties include customer service, report writing, emergency response, and interior and exterior foot patrols. Candidates must have flexible availability for evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. A permanent schedule will be assigned, but officers may be asked to cover shifts outside that schedule. Orientation and/or New York State licensing training takes place at the Johnson City, New York office. Reliable personal transportation is necessary because public transportation does not operate during the required work hours. Applicants whose security guard licenses have expired are asked to reactivate their guard cards before applying due to delays in processing previously licensed candidates. No prior experience is necessary. Securitas provides training; candidates with retail, food service, or hospitality experience may be a good fit. The posting advertises a sign-on bonus of $50 after 30 days of employment and $104.50 after 90 days.
