About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer for a retail location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $19.31 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Assist with access control and visitor interactions.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
