About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for daytime work at an educational location in Middletown, Ohio. The officer will patrol the location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. The role supports a welcoming environment through clear communication, attentive service, and integrity. The listed pay rate is $23.00 per hour, and the position offers a schedule that may allow employees to claim additional shifts using the company's Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity, and report observations according to site procedures.
Maintain awareness of assigned areas and control access as directed.
Document incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
Handle assigned equipment responsibly and follow applicable site procedures and legal requirements for armed posts.
