Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout facilities, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required by site policies, and support security-related operations involving contractors, deliveries, and/or visitors.
• Communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or public emergency services when needed, while following post orders and assisting with incident response and daily reporting responsibilities.
