About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Cambridge MA. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Operator, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor communications systems, receive and relay routine and urgent calls, and coordinate the dispatch of security-related personnel to incidents, service requests, and priority situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing timely updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and related records, helping to support shift activity tracking, follow-up actions, and communication between teams.
• Observe cameras, alarms, and other site systems, and help to deter unauthorized activity by reporting concerns and directing the appropriate response according to post orders.
